Why Being an Influencer in Ireland is different (and Special)
As Ireland’s leading influencer agency, we’re lucky to work with some amazing agencies and brands and see firsthand how large and competitive other markets are. But the Irish creator pool is truly different — smaller, highly engaged, and uniquely connected to local audiences. Here’s what makes it so special.
Highly Engaged Local Audiences
Ireland is a small country, but that size is part of its strength. The market is less saturated, meaning audiences are highly engaged and genuinely connected to the creators they follow. In fact, if you have 200k+ followers in Ireland, chances are most people know who you are - or at least have heard your name. That kind of national recognition is rare in larger markets like the UK, where even big accounts can sometimes feel lost in the crowd.
Platform Monetisation is Still Developing
Irish creators don’t have access to some of the monetisation tools available elsewhere. There’s no TikTok Creator Fund, TikTok Shop only launched recently, Snapchat Spotlight isn’t yet a reliable revenue stream, and some brands on LTK (LikeToKnowIt) aren’t monetisable locally. This makes creators rely more on partnerships than platform-driven revenue.
Brand Partnerships are the Bread and Butter
For Irish talent, collaborations aren’t side gigs — they’re essential to sustaining a career. Because creators depend heavily on these relationships, they focus on authentic, long-term partnerships rather than short-term wins. This makes them particularly effective for brands looking to build campaigns that resonate with real people. The flip side of a smaller, developing market? Brands get higher engagement, stronger connections, and campaigns that genuinely resonate with local audiences. Every collaboration has the potential to make a bigger impact, and Irish creators are often household names, which is a rare advantage compared with larger markets.
